Church Planting in Atlanta
In Atlanta, GA, Ryan and Tricia McCammack, two North American Mission Board (NAMB) missionaries, have planted a church. In 2016, they moved there with their eight children and planted Gospel Hope Church in Avondale Estates, an area east of downtown Atlanta.
This is a part of DeKalb County that has struggled with racial tensions and low incomes. Ryan is leading Gospel Hope Church with a focus on discipling believers and planting more churches. They have launched small groups around the area. The church is multicultural, both on staff and in its membership.
A man visited the church recently. He had been to other churches before, but at Gospel Hope, he was finally able to understand what the gospel means and became a follower of Jesus. Now he leads a ministry team and is preparing to become a pastor.
