The Galveston Island Convention Center (map) has an underground parking garage that is free to attendees of Annual Meeting with unlimited in and out privileges. There are two entrances on 57th street and one entrance in the Hilton parking lot. For those that have oversized vehicles and vans, parking is available at the back by the Rainforest restaurant or in the backlot of The San Luis Hotel.
With a potential shortage of rental cars available, these shuttle services may provide transportation from the Houston airport to Galveston:
Shuttle service will be provided approximately every 30 minutes from the hotels that are a part of the Annual Meeting hotel block listed here. Beginning on Sunday, November 14th from 3:30-6:30 pm, Monday, November 15th at 7:00 am until 10:30 pm and on Tuesday, November 16th from 7:00 am until 2:00 pm.
This service will not be provided this year.
Texas Baptists recognizes that the safety of all of those on site at the Texas Baptists Annual Meeting is our top priority. Our commitment to safety will continue to evolve based on state and federal guidance to ensure that all participants follow safe and healthy protocols on site.
Out of an abundance of caution, Texas Baptists in partnership with the City of Galveston will continue to follow CDC recommended guidelines related to coronavirus.
All participants are asked to:
Wear fabric face covering according to the CDC guidelines (mask covering both nose/mouth).
Galveston Island CC will have located throughout the center hand sanitation stations.

In cooperation with the Galveston Island Convention Center and event security, please wear your Texas Baptists Annual Meeting name badge at all times. Texas Baptists has taken every precaution to ensure the safety of all messengers and visitors.

All General and Business Meeting Sessions of the 2021 Annual Meeting will be translated in Spanish. Headsets will be available for checkout at the Information Booth located in the main level of the Galveston Island Convention Center.
The First Aid room will be determined and posted here before the start of Annual Meeting.
First Aid will be available Sunday, November 14 from 3:00 pm -7:00 pm and Monday, November 15 from 6:00 am – 10:00 pm and Tuesday, November 16 from 7:00 am – 1:00 pm.
Maps, restaurant guides and other local information are available at the Texas Baptists Information Desk located in the Main Lobby of the Galveston Island Convention Center across from the escalators.
To find a “lost” item or to turn in a “found” item, please go to the Texas Baptists Information Desk located in the Main Lobby of the Galveston Island Convention Center across from the escalators.
Coffee and limited refreshments will be provided during exhibit hall hours on Sunday from 4:00-6:00 pm, Monday from 9:00 am-5:00 and on Tuesday from 8:00-10:00 am. There are no vending machines in the Galveston Island Convention Center.
Annual Meeting is going green. At the end of the event, please help us by placing your name badges in the recycle bin at the inside back doors of the General Session.
As an added convenience for Annual Meeting attendees, phone charging stations (that accommodates most phone and tablet connections) are provided in the Grand Ballroom of the main exhibit hall (second floor).
